It's All Here in Black and White

I couldn't decide if I should use this beautiful tissue thin designer silk to make a black nuno felt scarf, or a white one. So I decided to make one of each. My preference is the black one with black scrim as the base. The white version is made on a white silk base. Which is your favorite?

  1. I think I like the black one more, but I am not sure.

  2. It's Christmas Tide, so go dramatic; has to be black .... could go mad and add a dash of one/some/all of the following colours gold/red/green/silver/purple. Hold over the white for the Spring Wedding mob. I'm clearly feeling very opinionated today :-) Regards Jen

  3. I prefer the black one, it looks much warmer, which is more agreeable for the cold season, and the contrast to the silk is not so hard.
I am experementing with nunofelt myself, and I often like it better, when the colours fit together.

  6. Yes the black is warmer, more dramatic. The layering with the scrim is particularly appealing to me, and makes the nuno cloth much softer on the skin than the silk. That surprised and delighted me. I love using scrim! I'm make another black one without the ruffle for a guy I know.
    Great comments!
Thank you all for weighing in.

  11. I like the white. I think the lighter backing makes it pop, but they are both wonderful pieces!
